Climate Policy Radar
AI-powered search tool that allows policymakers, researchers and civil society to quickly and easily find information about climate laws and policies from every country. I built the front end of this app from scratch based on technical and UI/UX requirements specified by the internal team as well as the styleguide provided by the outsourced design team. Integrated with a Python backend API.

RescueMe
High-traffic animal rescue website on which people and rescue shelters can both post as well as search for animals in need of adoption. Working together with the organization owner, I re-vamped much of the website to modernise the design and make it mobile-friendly. I also updated most of the JavaScript code and functionality, added many new features and integrated the front-end with the back-end infrastructure under the direction of the organization owner.

Instrumentation Technology Systems
Custom built website for a firm which builds video and timing products which I built from the ground up. Featured a data-driven sortable and filterable extensive products list, publications list and downloads list powered by ReactJS, and the rest of the site content powered by Couch CMS. Required user registration for access to publications and downloads. Utilized the Google Maps API.

Canvey Island Online
I built from the ground up this website powered by ReactJS which lists local events and features the ability to search for local businesses. The website also offers users the opportunity to sign up for premium listings as well as utilizing the Google Places, Google Maps and Twitter APIs.

3D.Audio
Website offering specialized '3D sound' microphones for purchase or rental for use in music, film and media production. Built from scratch under the direction of the organization owner. Includes an internal shopping cart that integrates with Paypal and Soundcloud API integration.

The Walled Garden
I collaborated with the development and design team to build this wedding and events venue website. Features of the site include responsive mobile-first design, online enquiry and contact forms, Google Maps API integration. This site was integrated into a custom CMS that was built in the Laravel php framework.

About
I have been in the web design and web development industry for over 20 years, starting back in the days when the most popular browser was Netscape Navigator and Flash was a new thing. In 2002, I launched my own business building Flash website templates for various types of businesses, most specifically artists and photographers. As technology and business requirements changed, particularly with the emergence of smart phones, I moved into developing responsive HTML5 / CSS3 websites, and have worked extensively with native JavaScript and many of the modern libraries and frameworks including ReactJS, VueJS and Angular. I have worked all over the world, including Los Angeles, Berlin and London for a variety of businesses including digital agencies, healthcare, e-commerce and non-profits. I make a point of keeping up with the continuous changes this industry is going through to ensure that I produce the best performing and maintainable websites and web applications.
When I'm not building websites, I also like to draw portraits and sell art prints and cards of my work. I currently live in Canvey Island, Essex, UK.
